A VW Transporter that has steam
As oil prices rocket skywards how about some good old steam power to propel you ahead? This is exactly what the inventor of
this strange Volkswagen Transporter truck might have thought. A large steam engine from a Stanley Steamer sits on the rear
and occupies almost the entire rear section of this truck which was spotted at at the Lake Goldsmith Rally. If steam power
harked back to the 19th century, LED tail lamps in the Steam Powered Transporter's rear provide the perfect foil to steam
power. How's that for contrast? Apparently this baby can do 120 K's with no a difficulty and surprisingly doesn't make a
massive racket at those speeds. But we don't even want to think about how much black smoke this coal burner will belch out
at those speeds. Having said that, the green brigade definitely won't be too impressed with this crazy coal smoker and the
truck better watch for out for some very angry greens out there.
